Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. ~Margaret Mead
The York Region Nature Collaborative (YRNC) is a collaborative of early years organizations & associations committed to improving access to nature programs for people of all ages. While the collaborative was founded in York Region, membership and events are open to all interested educators, parents and families.
The YRNC is asking for your input on our new logo. You are invited to vote on the three different logo concepts created by a wonderful designer at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). We are thankful for the designs and grateful for the support of the TRCA. Our collaborative exists because TRCA supports and believes in the vision: To build a movement in which every child has the right to meaningful outdoor experiences that invite them to play, learn, and explore their place in nature every day.
Each is shown in colour and black and white. You will also be able to see what these logos might look like on the YRNC (http://www.yrnature.ca/) website. Which of the three logos do you prefer? Which one best represents the vision of the YRNC? To see the three logos click on the link below:
Now we invite you to vote on your favourite logo concept from now until the deadline of August 10th, 2014. Here is the link to the poll where you can cast your vote.
We have a mission, which is to empower the early learning communities of York Region to engage meaningfully with nature on a daily basis. Please help us decide on our logo so that we can start using it in our communications and promotions of future events and initiatives to create/support an outdoor early learning movement in York Region and beyond.
We know that in the scope of the world York Region is just one small area. We know that in terms of our mission that we are but a small group but we are inspired by the words of the famous anthropologist, Margaret Mead and we will continue to work towards our mission. We invite anyone interested in supporting this dream to connect with us via email, Facebook or Twitter.
We need others to join the movement. We need members and sponsors who also believe in the vision. Watch for announcements about future events and ways that you can get involved. We believe you are out there. We believe that you too understand why it is critical now more than ever to help young children to have regular experiences in and with nature.
Join our movement.
You can begin by helping us choose our logo.
