Join Dana Eldon, Outreach Coordinator at the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, as she leads you through this 4 week online course that includes four 1-hour webinars, weekly tasks, and access to a Google Classroom stocked with resources, activities and the opportunity to share and collaborate with course participants and outdoor education experts.
This introductory course is designed for education professionals (such as OCTs, ECEs, EAs, and pre-service teacher candidates), as well as home-based child care providers and homeschooling families.
In this course, you will:
- Discover the benefits of moving learning to an outdoor space
- Understand how to plan and deliver effective outdoor lessons across a variety of themes and subject areas
- Gain confidence in managing children in an outdoor setting
- Learn about managing risk in outdoor learning spaces
Our first session sold out quickly. Session #2 runs August 3 to August 28 (weekly webinars are on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.)
